(01) What it does
Oskuvi VTL Templates makes the editor read the template language of Apache Velocity: the directives, references and comments in your .vm, .vtl and .vsl files.
Directives, references, strings and comments are coloured while the HTML around them keeps its own colours, a block's directives are matched and blocks fold. The editor also completes directives and the variables a template defines, goes from a template to the files it names and from a macro call to its definition, and flags directives that aren't closed.
The plugin only reads your files. It contacts no address and sends nothing anywhere.

Can I try it before I buy it?
Yes. It comes with a 7-day free trial, and after that it needs a licence from JetBrains Marketplace. The plugin's page there shows the price.
How does it know whether the text around the directives is HTML or XML?
From the file name, like page.html.vm, or from the first closing tag. HTML errors are never shown when HTML was only guessed.
What if JetBrains' own Velocity plugin is installed?
Where JetBrains' Velocity plugin is loaded, Oskuvi VTL Templates stands down and leaves the files to it.
Does it send my code anywhere?
No. Oskuvi VTL Templates only reads your files, on your machine. It contacts no address and sends nothing anywhere.
