The client
Nature's Chef belongs to a third-generation family of farmers who grow quality, fresh fruit and vegetables — among the finest produce in the country.
The brief
Selling produce online isn't like selling boxed goods. Items are priced and packed by weight, orders need to flow into the farm's business system, and the owner needs to know exactly what was ordered, what was weighed and what was shipped to each customer. The goal was to make the farm's economic operation more efficient — not just to put products on a website.
What we built
We specified, designed and developed the site, and delivered the ERP connection in collaboration with Koltech Information Systems, specialists in Priority implementation.
A responsive produce store
The store works on desktop and is fully responsive, so customers can browse and order from any mobile device.
Priority ERP integration
The site is connected to the Priority ERP, so orders don't have to be re-entered by hand and the farm's back office works from the same data as the storefront.
Weighing carts
Weighing carts are connected to the products. Weight-based items are handled accurately from order to packing, closing the loop between what the customer ordered and what actually left the farm.
How we worked
Integration projects succeed when the business process comes before the code: the order-to-shipping flow defines what the storefront, the ERP and the scales each need to do. We specified the site around that flow and delivered the Priority connection together with Koltech.
The outcome
The farm sells online with its storefront, ERP and weighing process working as one — so the owner can see exactly what was ordered, weighed and shipped to every customer.
