## What it does

Oskuvi Server Launcher runs and debugs a web application on your own WildFly® application server, from a run configuration, in the free edition of IntelliJ IDEA as well as the paid one.

Point the configuration at your WildFly folder and at a web application folder or a .war file. The server starts as one Java process with the project's JDK, so the editor's own Debug attaches to the process that serves your application. The form shows every port and the exact command before anything starts.

Nothing is written into your server or your project: the server runs on a copy of its configuration in the plugin's own folder, and listens on 127.0.0.1 unless you say otherwise.

## Who it's for

- Java EE and Jakarta EE developers who deploy to WildFly.
- Developers using IntelliJ IDEA's free edition who want to run their server from the IDE.

## Key features

- **Your server, as it is:** The plugin carries no server of its own. It uses your WildFly folder, the one that holds jboss-modules.jar.
- **Run:** Start the server and your application from Run | Edit Configurations… | + | Server Launcher.
- **See it first:** Every port that will be opened and the exact command, before anything starts.
- **Two at once:** All the server's ports move with the HTTP port you choose, so two configurations don't collide.
- **Debug:** The editor's own debugger attaches to the very process that serves your application.

## Frequently asked questions

### Do I need a licence?

Only after the 7-day free trial. From then on, Oskuvi Server Launcher needs a licence; see its JetBrains Marketplace page for the price.

### Which WildFly version does it work with?

It has been tested with WildFly 41.

### What isn't in this version?

Domain mode, hot redeploy, a context path of more than one word, and other servers.

### Does it change my server's configuration?

No. It runs on a copy of standalone/configuration in a folder of the plugin's own, and the server's data, logs and temporary files go there too.
