## What it does

Oskuvi PYX Language makes the editor read Cython files: the .pyx, .pxd and .pxi files of your extension modules, wherever the editor has no support of its own for them.

Python's and Cython's keywords, C types, strings, numbers and comments are coloured, brackets are matched, blocks fold and the comment key works. You also get the structure of a file (its cdef functions, classes, structs and enums), going from a name to its declaration and from a cimport to its .pxd file, completion of the names a file declares and cimports, and checks for a cimport that leads nowhere.

The plugin only reads your files. It contacts no address and sends nothing anywhere.

## Who it's for

- Python developers who write Cython extension modules in PyCharm or another JetBrains IDE.
- Projects with their own .pxd files that need to find their way between declarations.

## Key features

- **Python and Cython keywords:** Keywords, C types, strings, numbers and comments, coloured.
- **Brackets, folding, comments:** Brackets matched, blocks folded, and the comment key works.
- **File structure:** The cdef functions, classes, structs and enums of a file.
- **Go to declarations:** From a name to its declaration, and from a cimport to the .pxd file.
- **Completion and checks:** Names a file declares and cimports are completed, and a cimport that leads nowhere is flagged.

## Frequently asked questions

### Can I try it first?

Yes, for 7 days at no cost. After the trial it needs a licence, and the plugin's JetBrains Marketplace page shows what it costs.

### What if my IDE already supports Cython?

Where JetBrains' own Python plugin with Cython support is loaded, Oskuvi PYX Language stands down and leaves the files to it.

### Which .pxd files does it follow?

Your project's own. Cimports from libc, libcpp, cpython, posix, numpy, openmp and cython are never flagged, and the check runs only in a project that has a .pxd file of its own.

### Does it send my code anywhere?

No. Oskuvi PYX Language only reads your files, on your machine. It contacts no address and sends nothing anywhere.
