A new online store and Android app for a leading 3D print house. The brief: highlight the brand's values in a fresh site while preserving the Google rankings it had already earned.

## Case study facts

- **Client:** Dfus3D
- **Industry:** Manufacturing
- **Project type:** eCommerce
- **Platforms:** Android
- **Services:** Web & Mobile App Development, QA & Release Assurance
- **Live site:** https://dfus3d.com/

## What NPCoding delivered

- Online store for ordering 3D prints, printers, accessories and materials
- Android app for the print house's customers
- Rebuild planned around preserving existing search rankings

## The client

Dfus3D is a leading print house for 3D printing. It specializes in **FDM, SLA and SLS** printing, and also sells 3D printers, accessories and quality printing materials. Its services span consulting, design and printing, with an emphasis on fast delivery and first-rate quality.

## The brief

Dfus3D came to us with an existing site that had been **promoted to a leading position on Google**. They wanted a new site that would better showcase their values — **without losing the SEO work they had done to date**.

That's the classic replatforming dilemma: a redesign is the moment rankings are most likely to disappear, because URLs, content and technical signals all change at once.

## What we built

We specified, designed and developed:

- a new **online store** where customers order 3D prints, printers and printing materials;
- an **Android app** for the print house's customers.

## Protecting rankings during a rebuild

When a site already ranks well, the migration plan matters as much as the design. These are the safeguards we apply on rebuilds like this one:

1. **Inventory every URL** that has traffic, links or rankings before anything changes.
2. **Keep URLs where possible**, and map every changed URL to its closest new equivalent with a permanent (301) redirect.
3. **Preserve on-page signals** — titles, headings, descriptions and the content that earned the rankings.
4. **Carry over structured data** and keep internal links pointing at final URLs, not redirects.
5. **Launch with monitoring**: submit the new sitemap, watch crawl errors and 404s, and fix gaps in the first weeks.

## The outcome

Dfus3D's new store is live at [dfus3d.com](https://dfus3d.com/), where customers order prints, printers and accompanying materials — alongside an Android app — with a site that finally matches the quality of its work.
